THE NEWSLETTER OF

Naturally Beemers
Text Box: FRESH MEAT
        Your new Newsletter editor;
 Bill Swartzwelder

The first thing I would like to say is:
 “No, I am not related to Arnold Schwarzenegger…”

I have been around many of the “Naturally Beemers” officers and charter members for years. I used to work on Wayne Nankervis’ and Mike Mottler's bikes before there even was a naturally Beemers club. Jerry Reynolds has been a great friend and riding companion for many years. So I guess I was just a little too trusting…. You know what I mean, things slip up on you when you really don’t suspect it. I joined a club for the purpose of getting to know some fellow riders, people I had something in common with. Now I am reporter, floor sweeper, cleric, photographer, delivery boy, editor, and flunky for the Beemer Bulletin. To be honest, I couldn’t be happier! What better way for me to meet and get to know the members of this club. By attending events, interviewing, taking pictures, and listening to complaints that your newsletter is late again… I should be on a first name basis with most of you pretty quick.
                 I hope to continue the same informative and friendly format that you are used to receiving with minor changes. The newsletter will be mailed out quarterly and there will be a few UN-Newsletters mailed out to help fill in the gaps between the quarterly newsletters. These UN-Newsletters will communicate pressing information about events, and club business that may not wait until the next quarter. Mike Wingfield has done a fantastic job, with the newsletter, and a communication liaison for event coordination, and informing individuals about our organization. Mike is also gifted at spreading manure around a campfire. I hope that by taking the responsibility of the newsletter off his hands, it will free him up to do more public relations with many of our new members. Since James Willbanks at BMW Motorcycles of Little Rock has been giving out one year memberships with every sale, our numbers have more than doubled. This is fantastic, yet it is also a huge responsibility. Be sure to greet new people at club events. It can be a little intimidating for a new member to attend an event not knowing anyone. I know I have been to events that other organizations sponsored, only to never return because no one even acknowledged my presence. Naturally Beemers members have been a friendly bunch, and that is one of the reasons I was drawn to this group.
	Events and activities are also a major draw for clubs. How many
times have you thought about going for a ride, but really wished you had someone else to tag along. Motorcycle riding is such a wonderful experience, and it is so nice to have someone else to enjoy those wonderful times with. Some of our members are currently working on putting together a list serve/internet bulletin board that will work along with our web page. Those of you who like to hang out on the internet can communicate about getting together to go riding, what your favorite tires are, and why your brand of motor oil is best!!! Lots of new things are happening with the club. Spring is finally here! I know I am making plans to ride more this year.
	Hope to see you on the road!
